I am a Nashville area creative who expresses himself through music and photography. Having been a musician longer than I care to admit, photography is the more recent interest. I have been chasing beauty and light with my camera since 2013.
I regularly evaluate what drives me as a photographer. Obviously, beauty. Absolutely light and shadow. And the settings for these are the four points - seascapes, mountains, deserts/canyons, and simple rural scenes. These are hunting grounds I gravitate towards in my quest for beauty, light and shadow.
I love the literal expression of landscape photography, but I also like to "push" a photograph where my imagination takes it. This means that the photograph might just be the starting point. The end result could flirt with fantasy, or take on a more painterly feeling, or go into complete abstraction.
I reside in Franklin, Tennessee and travel regularly to locations with oceans, mountains, forests or deserts for a broad selection of subjects. I'm glad you decided to view my work, and hope you find something here that will enhance the mood of your home or workplace.
