"My Digital Brush" - To be 100% clear about this, these are photographs that blend two or more different versions. One layer is the "stock" photo, right out of my camera. The other versions that are layered on top of that, well, let's just say I've taken a lot of artistic liberty with them! The blending of the layers results in a print with the look and feel of distant oil, acrylic or watercolor cousins. The distinct difference is that in most of these pieces, there are glimpses of the original photograph, Think of it as a blend of the real and the imagined.
The limited choice of mediums in this collection is intentional. Watercolor paper is beautifully textured and has zero gloss, and canvas is...well....canvas. In my mind, these photos would look out of place on any sort of glossy, smooth treatment.
Enjoy them! If a piece moves you, it moves you! If it captures your eye, it speaks to your heart. And if it speaks to your heart, it belongs on your wall.
