This picture has been through some transitions and its story is worth telling.  It is a happy accident, in a way.  I had driven hours to get to this stretch of beach, and immediately found a nice empty spot to set up my tripod and start taking pictures of waves, one of my main objectives for the day.  Not long after starting, three "tourists" (not that I was a native to the spot myself) showed up and pretty much parked themselves right in front of me.  I thought they might wander on, so just waited a few minutes.  Two of them sort of drifted out of the scene, but this one girl stayed put.  I thought she was taking selfies, but I realized from her stillness and the way she was pointing her phone that she was taking video of the waves.  I sure couldn't blame her for that!  But there she was, messing with MY wave pictures!   I tried pointing my camera off at an angle to get her out of the frame.  It was not really an angle that working well for me, but then something amazing happened.  I stopped shooting and previewed a few of the pictures where she was "invading" my space.  When I saw how it looked to have her in the lower corner of the frame with all that "negative space" of beach, ocean and sky, it looked incredible!  I started taking a lot of pictures with that composition in mind.  It has become one of my most favorite pictures and a life lesson - someone who gets in my way might be there for a reason!
