My Personal Top Ten Favorites (not already on my site)
Pulled from the archives for just this week, these are ten of my favorites. Scroll through them, and if one of them catches your eye (you know what I say...) it belongs on your wall! Grading on a Curve
There is a whole genre that specializes in architectural photography, but I have barely dipped my toe into it. I love the emotion and the power of a brilliantly designed building portrayed in the right composition. This is Nashville's Music City Center and a couple of jets playing follow the leader.

Moonshot
Simple enough. Not a supermoon, or lunar eclipse. Just a brilliant white half-orb, hanging in royal blue. Full moons get all the attention, but while it is in its other phases, its position in relation to the sun causes the craters and mountains to cast longer shadows, providing greater detail.

Paris Rooftop
Armed with a simple point-and-shoot camera, I went out to collect some sights while on a business trip. Actually, this is the photo that nudged me toward taking photography seriously. I knew I liked it more than my other typically touristic pictures, but I couldn't really say why. But it got me thinking, and 14 or 15 years later, here we are. A friend of mine pointed out the rhythmic nature of the composition.

Seattle Morning
When the overcast breaks and the drizzle stops, it's hard to think of a more stunning city. So stunning you want to get up before the sun to drink it all in. I know the target market for this shot is small, but hey, these are MY favorites!

A Promise Made
Summertime in Tennessee means frequent storms that sweep through the area. If the storm is moving from west to east (which is the norm here), and if it blows through in the late afternoon, then there will likely be a rainbow. This one seemed to be pouring out of the clouds since they had already given up their rain.
If you click the picture, you'll find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and all of your dreams will come true. And, you'll be able to order just the right size print for your wall!
